With one or two parents depending on the family situation. Guidance based on recognised approaches (Barkley, Kazdin…).
Assessment process
The child's neuropsychological assessment takes place over four sessions, complemented by substantial analysis and report-writing work between appointments. The process below is a general, typical framework: it is of course adapted to each situation, to individual particularities, and to the request and reason for consultation.

Initial interview (case history)
With the parent(s), without the child
Gathering the child's developmental history, the reason for consultation and everyday observations.

Evaluation
With the child only
Administration of standardised psychometric tests and clinical observation.

Evaluation (continued)
With the child only
Continuation of the evaluation to explore all the relevant cognitive functions.

Feedback on results
With the parent(s), without the child
Presentation and explanation of results, conclusions and recommendations.
Analysis work between sessions
Outside of appointments, data analysis and writing the detailed report represent several hours of work. This time is essential to provide you with a complete, personalised document.
Documents to provide for the assessment
Several complementary documents are collected and carefully reviewed to refine the analysis.
Parent questionnaires
Questionnaires to be completed by the parent(s), which I analyse to better understand the child's everyday functioning.
Teacher documents
Documents to be completed by the teacher or teaching staff, to observe the child in a school context.
School report cards
School report cards, which I review to situate the child's progress and educational path.
Coverage and reimbursement
Individual sessions
Individual sessions fall under the "Mon soutien psy" scheme and may, under certain conditions, be reimbursed by French national health insurance, up to 12 sessions per year. I invite you to check the eligibility criteria and conditions on ameli.fr.
Financing assessments
The neuropsychological assessment is not covered by French national health insurance. Depending on your policy, your supplementary health insurance may however reimburse part of the sessions: please check directly with your provider.
I am also approved by the Coordination and Referral Platforms (PCO TND) of Côtes-d'Armor (22) and Ille-et-Vilaine (35), which can fund assessments for children aged 0 to 12 under certain conditions. The request must go through the Platform: please contact the platform for your department of residence for more information.
